The Governor is trying to gut New York's climate law. She's fear-mongering by telling the press and the public that implementing the law will lead to higher energy bill costs. But nothing could be further from the truth: Weakening the law will only make the air we breathe more polluted, the climate less safe, and our future less secure. And on top of that, clinging to the fossil fuel era will cost us more — from higher utility and medical bills, to more climate catastrophes to rebuild from, to more wars for oil.

We must call Governor Hochul to tell her, loud and clear: Do not destroy our climate law and give handouts to the fossil fuel billionaires destroying our planet and our future. 

Call the Governor today! New Yorkers want you to advance the climate law — not destroy it. We deserve cleaner air, lower bills, and a safe, healthy environment for generations to come.

Expensive gas, aging gas infrastructure, and utility greed are raising our utility bills, not the climate law.

The climate law exists to support communities impacted by the climate crisis, create the clean-energy economy of tomorrow, and protect our future. Changing timelines or weakening commitments does not change that reality.

Do not destroy our climate law and give handouts to the fossil fuel billionaires destroying our planet and our future.
