Join NY Renews coalition members as part of a series of regional events across the state this fall and a full coalition convening this winter in Albany. We want to see your organization there! We’ll be celebrating a decade of climate justice wins, sharing stories, and building collective power for our next chapter.
This Albany regional convening on December 6 at 11 a.m. at Citizen Action of New York's office (94 Central Ave., Albany) will bring together NY Renews staff and members from across the region to reflect, connect, and chart our next steps together.
Our goals are to:
- Share updates on the statewide direction of NY Renews;
-
Get feedback from Central New York member organizations;
-
Renew our relationships and brainstorm stronger collaboration;
-
Identify regional priorities.
Your input and leadership are critical to shaping the future of our coalition and the coalition’s investment in Central New York priorities. We hope you and your organization will join us to celebrate this milestone and build power for the decade ahead.
It’s been 10 years since our coalition was founded after a statewide road trip that built on the energy and momentum of the 2014 People's Climate March in NYC, the largest climate march in history. Our road trip brought together communities across the state to build a broad-based coalition that unified environmental justice, labor, and multi-issue community leaders to win climate, jobs, and justice for New Yorkers from Buffalo to the Bronx.
After 10 years, our coalition is still going strong—and that’s thanks to you, our members. From passing New York’s landmark climate law to securing the Climate Change Superfund Act to make corporate polluters pay, or ensuring New York builds public renewables and all-electric buildings, NY Renews members have helped us shape the future of New York.
